Totem for Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh, one of the architects commissioned for Hill House
Visitors to the Hill House can carry totems with them to detects "ghosts" (historical figures) of The Hill House. Three totems represent Walter Blackie (who commissioned The Hill House), Charles Rennie Mackintosh (an architect commissioned by Blackie) and Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh (an architect commissioned by Blackie). Each totem detects a visitor's proximity to objects in The Hill House. A totem's light flashes with increasing speed as it nears an object associated with the person represented by the totem.
